| Bio: |   I am the heart that worships the natural and unnatural beauty in the world, and whose sole (soul) purpose is to share this aspect of life (as well as Truth, Joy and Love) with as many people as possible. I'm also the mind that stays occupied by finding as many ironic situations as she can, and pointing them out to anyone who will also find them amusing. On the surface, I'm some kind of emo-punk-indie-prep-goth-loser-crazy-uncategorizable girl. At the very least, I'm highly entertained by this Life. I don't appreciate the complications of the societal part of "reality" - I'd prefer to live on the level of Harmony. (I'm working on this aspect of myself, of course. It's tough to be completely removed from social bullshit when one is a high school student). I suppose that's all a little vague, isn't it? Well, fine. I'm currently in high school. I've been an honors student since before I can remember. My best subject is math (AP Calculus this year), but my favorite class is AP English; English is where the anti-norm fuses with intelligence. I hang out with all kinds of people: preps, jocks, geeks, guardies... but somehow, my best friends are the "freaks" (which makes sense, because I was raised by that category). I don't mind having friends who drink, smoke, or do drugs; I just choose not to join them in these activites. I wouldn't have time to be a stoner if I wanted to, anyway; in addition to having crazy homework, I'm on the winterguard. This is my second winter season. I toss flag, spin sabre, and dance plenty. Most of my dance background is bellydance; however, guard has enlightened me to "classical" dance. Oh, and I have a wonderful boyfriend in between that schedule, as well. ;) My music tastes are all over the place. I might go from Chopin to Disturbed to Goldfrapp to Sia to Rob Zombie to Gwen Stefani in less than thirty minutes, not to mention the Bjork and Manson in between. Oh, and don't forget the constant NIN that's constantly in my head, if not in my ears. And that's just the music from Euro-American society. Bellydance music gets thrown in, too. Yay for the Al-Ahram Orchestra, Nancy Ajram, Hakim, Hossam Ramzy, and Sirocco (just to name a few)! And I read. A lot. A few of my favorite authors include the following: Anne Rice, George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Tamora Pierce, J.K. Rowling, Chuck Palahniuk, Maya Angelou, Lewis Carroll, Dante Alighieri, Aldous Huxely, Julliet Marillier, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Silver RavenWolf, Joseph Conrad, Shakespeare, E.L. Konigsburg, Scott O'Dell, Sue Monk Kidd... And as always, the list will continue until my cold corpse has been burned or buried. :D | |
